mushroom steak

We had dinner at the Donnybrook pub. Though the pub has a more Irish name, the food had more of an American source. Large servings, being really too much to eat. For $20 I got the Mushroom Steak. The mushroom was good, the sauce ok, the veges reasonable, but the steak, while huge, was tough. I ordered it medium rare, but got it well done. I had the need to invent the electric micro chain saw (as a concept) to aide in cutting the meat. I think I much prefer a smaller, higher quality meal.

wind farm at crookwell

driving from Sydney to Melbourne, and not by the most direct route, I passed by the wind farm at Crookwell. My third great grand parents lived in this part of NSW.

purple mushrooms

Well we headed off to Royal National Park and did a few caches. This time we did some walking (yay!). I have never seen these purple mushrooms before. But there had been floods recently and many mushrooms were out.

geocaching event

I went to my first geocaching event. It was a pleasant affair up in the Blue Mountains. So I met a whole new bunch of geocachers, some who are also in flickr.

prius III

Chris has a post on the car. Anyway I am getting better at it and now have the consumption down about 5% on what I was getting before as I learn how it works and read more on the user group site. There is defiantly a technique you should use. I am still often tired driving it as so much more concentration is required as I learn to drive the car. But, and I said this before, only one continuously variable gear is a good thing.
